Holiday Eating With No Strings Attached
Holiday eating with no strings attached? Is this even possible? Absolutely. What has to happen here is you have to be willing to learn about the NSA (no strings attached) rule. I first learned about this by following my current nutritional guru Betty Rocker. She is easy to read, follow and also has tons of FREE STUFF on her website and well as some affordable exercise and nutritional programs.
Her program works so well that I’ve lost about 25 pounds. Too bad I have the “EX-PRO FOOTBALL PLAYER” genetics so no one has really noticed… yet. So we’ll skip over that part and get back to what I wanted you to know about this program.
The Holidays Are Coming
There is no way around the fact the Christmas and New Year’s will be upon us very soon. We, Americans, have a tradition of abandoning all forms of sensible eating and restraint during these times. This year I’m going to suggest that you apply all of your restraint and planning on the days that you don’t have holiday parties and activities.
Whatever your “normal eating program” is during the rest of the year, just stay on it until the day of the event and go back to it after the party. This might sound really simple but for some; it’s revolutionary. ONE MEAL WILL NOT DESTROY YOUR PROGRESS, so chill out and have some fun. It might even be fun to hang out near the dessert table to watch those “other people” lament while they are cruising the table looking for some celery.
The NSA (no strings attached)
Giving yourself permission to enjoy or even over-indulge is something we really need to practice more often. Most Americans are on some type of calorie restricted diet and most of our female partners have been on some type of self-imposed caloric-restricted eating program since 5th grade. How about this year we DROP THE GUILT, DROP THE PAIN, DROP THE ANGER about food and JUST ENJOY OURSELVES? The holidays will be over soon enough and we can return to our regularly scheduled life.
