Third Eye Chakra, Abandon Your Illusions
The third eye chakra has been an interesting trance experience. It sort of reminds me of an interview I saw with the Dali Llama. The interviewer asks the magic question, “are you enlightened?”, and the Dali Llama laughs and says, “not yet.” Kind says it all right there.
Do I think my third eye chakra has opened? Probably. Do I know what to do with it? Decidedly, not. It’s a process like anything else and very much subject to do with interpretation. We all have gifts. Intuition, clairvoyance, some see auras or energy. My gift seems to be pretty localized within my office while I’m seeing patients. I can smell diabetes, even before it’s diagnosed. (not much fun) and I seem to have the ability to ferret out the primary issues when a person decides they need to manifest cancer, in order, to signal a change that’s needed in their life. It would definitely be a lot more fun to be able to see the energy and watch it change color when someone heals or changes life direction. But apparently, that isn’t my path, so far.

Abandon Your Illusions
In the video below, there is a well thought out explanation of how the human eye works. The eyes see an image and then an approximation is created for the two images. This gives us depth, perspective, the distance of the object, etc. But you may have surmised, it’s an illusion.
We also have other illusions. That partner we have that is JUST PERFECT, except for that one thing, we just know we can change in them or they could if they loved us enough. The family issues, work issues or just plain life issues that we know, somehow, it’s going to magically get better… just before we die.
The whole value of opening your third eye is so that you can get past these stories, we tell ourselves and see the world and ourselves how we truly are. If you are a crappy person, knock it off. Let’s say you are a wonderful person, it’s time to own that. If you are somewhere in-between, maybe you have some work to do and the third eye can show you the path.

The Third Eye Chakra Explained
The Third Eye Chakra transcends time. It is located in the brain, at the brow, above the base of the nose. The energy of this chakra allows us to experience clear thought as well as gifts of spiritual contemplation and self-reflection. Through the gift of seeing we can internalize the outer world and with a symbolic language we can externalize the inner world.
The “way of the third eye” is seeing everything as it is from a point of “witness” or “observer”, or from simply being mindful – moment by moment. It means examining self-limiting ideas and developing wisdom that comes from a perspective that transcends the duality of good or bad, black or white.
The sixth chakra is holistic in nature. When this chakra is fully activated, both hemispheres of the brain function in synchrony. The right hemisphere’s creativity and synthetic thinking are integrated and balanced with the left hemisphere’s logical and analytical thinking.
The Third Eye is not only the seat of wisdom but also a seat of conscience. This is where you not only see what is going on, but you also know what it means. The Trance Process
This third eye chakra trance process was a little different than the past several, i.e. base, sacral, breath, throat chakra trance processes. In order to get ALL of the illusions out where I could see them I also included a hierarchical list of perception. I asked to view all illusion in my environment, my habits, my behaviors, my beliefs, my values and in my identity. I got a pretty big list.
The process is the same. A neutral space and ask that part that keeps and maintains your illusions to get them out of the box they are stored in. This can be a long trance. I was in and out of consciousness most of the night. (doing night trance lets you get work done during the day *smiles)
I also utilized the information in the above video about grounding and sending energy through the lower chakras up to my heart, first before activating the third eye. My desire was to be able to see what illusions were there and if there was another way to perceive them BEFORE trashing them. I saw a few things that needed to be updated, modified and a lot that just needed to go away. Using the energy from your heart in addition to your head seems to make a HUGE difference in the process.
More Rain Clouds
Since rain is my go-to method of disposing of things I no longer want, need or have a use for, I used that, but you are welcome to use any disposal method you choose. Volcanos and bottomless pits seem to be popular with the in-crowd. Watching the illusions melt and flow downstream seems to be very satisfying after all that, un-fun stuff that can come along with unprocessed thoughts and emotions.
Once those thoughts and emotions are processed you can move to connect with your third eye, again. I did this twice. Once to clear the chakra and again to activate it. Few words are possible to describe this feeling of connection. You’ll just have to try it for yourself to get the words.
The Illusions Fade
What will I see now? Probably the same world you do, but with my third eye chakra. But I think my perception of what I see has and will continue to change. I live in a world of change and possibility, in general. Perhaps I will see even more possible now. Time will tell.
Connect To Your Third Eye
sit or stand, while allowing the base chakra to connect to the center of the earth. If you have been doing the exercises in the former articles this should be getting easier. draw the energy up through the first three chakras to the heart. Allow yourself to be filled with the love and then move the energy up through the throat chakra and into your third eye. Feel the balance of both hemispheres of your brain works together, maybe for the first time.
Time kind of goes away at this point and you are totally in this moment. This breath, this thought, this heartbeat. Any remaining illusions of self, the world or those around you can now fade and you can see what is actually there. People just like you living their lives, making mistakes, loving, etc. My suggestion is you really don’t need to tell anyone what your experience is… they won’t get it until they have done this process themselves. Be kind to you and those around you.
